Coach Chanel Henry was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma where she began her swimming career for local club and neighborhood teams before joining her high school team. She started coaching when she was 16-years-old for the local country club team where she also worked as a lifeguard. After graduate school, she started coaching for San Marcos High School where she was the assistant swim and dive team coach from 2013-2015.
She attended the University of Oklahoma, yes she is a die hard Sooner fan in Longhorn country, and finished her degrees at the University of Central Oklahoma. Coach Henry has a B.A. in Journalism with minors in communication and photography, as well as her Masters in Education.
Coach Henry moved to Austin to be closer to her niece and nephews in 2013 and could not be happier! She enjoys being active, especially with her 2 dogs, and going to see all the live music that Austin has to offer.
Along with coaching, she will be teaching English and Special Education at Bowie High School.
She is looking forward to a great season with the Dawgs and hopes to lead the team for many years to come!
Peyton Bobo grew up swimming in the Austin area for Texas Gold. He attended Kealing Junior High School before moving north to Pflugerville where he graduated high school. After high school Peyton went on to swim and study at the University of Louisville. His senior year the Cardinals won their first Big East Conference Championship.
Graduating with a BA in Physics, Peyton went on to coach various summer league and club programs in the Austin area. Prior to Bowie, Peyton spent five years coaching at Plano West Senior High. Entering his 2nd season season with the Bulldogs, Coach Bobo is excited to keep Bowie moving forward.
